PIAFS<\/span><\/strong> :<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Le 9 janvier 2023, nous partagions avec \u00e9motion notre d\u00e9couverte : la d\u00e9tection d\u2019un arc dans la direction de la galaxie d\u2019Androm\u00e8de (<strong>M31<\/strong>), identifi\u00e9 sous le nom <strong>SDSO1<\/strong> (Strottner Drechsler Sainty Object 1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s plus de deux ans d\u2019investigations men\u00e9es par plusieurs \u00e9quipes scientifiques \u00e0 travers le monde, le voile se l\u00e8ve enfin sur sa v\u00e9ritable nature : une n\u00e9buleuse plan\u00e9taire fant\u00f4me situ\u00e9e non pas dans M31, mais au sein m\u00eame de notre propre galaxie, align\u00e9e dans sa direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette n\u00e9buleuse est extr\u00eamement ancienne, environ 400 000 ans, avec un diam\u00e8tre de 65,2 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re, soit plus de 617 200 000 000 000 km.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SDSO1 devient donc le premier membre reconnu d\u2019une nouvelle classe de n\u00e9buleuses, les \u00ab\u00a0n\u00e9buleuses plan\u00e9taires fant\u00f4mes\u00a0\u00bb ou <strong>GPN<\/strong> pour Ghost Planetary Nebula) qui ne sont visibles que gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur interaction avec le gaz interstellaire environnant, comme l&rsquo;arc de choc observ\u00e9 ici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette recherche a permis le d\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux proc\u00e9d\u00e9s collaboratifs entre astrophotographes et chercheurs, donnant naissance \u00e0 une image in\u00e9dite de SDSO1 et de M31, fruit de 555 heures de pose cumul\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un immense bravo \u00e0 toutes les \u00e9quipes impliqu\u00e9es dans cette formidable aventure
