Une strat\u00e9gie in\u00e9dite a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce aux enseignements de la mission pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente Artemis I et les possibilit\u00e9s nouvelles qu\u2019offre&nbsp;la capsule Orion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9quipage d\u2019Artemis II \u00e9voluera, fort heureusement, dans des conditions moins hasardeuses que pour APOLLO et sera aussi mieux prot\u00e9g\u00e9. Car le Soleil est surveill\u00e9 d\u00e9sormais par une flottille de satellites spatiaux\u00a0:\u00a0Parker Solar Probe,\u00a0Solar Orbiter,\u00a0Solar Dynamics Observatory, etc. Ils constituent en quelque sorte la premi\u00e8re ligne de d\u00e9fense, \u00e0 m\u00eame de rep\u00e9rer les plus importantes \u00e9ruptions \u00e0 la surface de notre bouillonnante \u00e9toile. Et d\u00e9livrer ainsi des alertes pr\u00e9coces sur l\u2019\u00e9mission de particules \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques (protons, neutrons, \u00e9lectrons) plusieurs dizaines de minutes avant qu\u2019elles ne parcourent les 150 millions de kilom\u00e8tres qui nous s\u00e9parent du Soleil, mais aussi sur les \u00e9jections de gaz ionis\u00e9 qui atteignent le syst\u00e8me Terre-Lune apr\u00e8s un \u00e0 quatre jours de voyage.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon les protocoles \u00e9tablis par l\u2019Agence spatiale am\u00e9ricaine, \u00ab\u00a0<em>les quatre astronautes d\u2019Artemis II se regrouperaient ainsi dans la zone la mieux prot\u00e9g\u00e9e d\u2019Orion pendant les p\u00e9riodes \u00e9ventuelles d\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e8nement radiatif\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>,Il n\u2019agit pas d\u2019une pi\u00e8ce \u00ab\u00a0blind\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0mais de la partie centrale du vaisseau, qui en raison de son volume pressuris\u00e9 de 9,3 m\u00e8tres \u2013 soit environ deux monospaces et 60% de plus que les capsules d\u2019Apollo \u2013 offrent de nouvelles possibilit\u00e9s pour se prot\u00e9ger d\u2019une \u00e9ventuelle temp\u00eate solaire. Cette zone se situe \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du bouclier thermique et plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment sous les si\u00e8ges o\u00f9 sont am\u00e9nag\u00e9s des compartiments de stockage contenants les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asc-csa.gc.ca\/fra\/missions\/artemis-ii\/vie-a-bord-orion.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vivres<\/a>, r\u00e9serves d\u2019eau ainsi que certains \u00e9quipements.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les astronautes devraient alors les vider et s\u2019y installer \u00e0 la place, tout en disposant les sacs d\u2019eau et de nourritures tout autour d\u2019eux, les substances riches en hydrog\u00e8ne (\u00e0 l\u2019instar des mol\u00e9cules d\u2019eau) constituant une couche de protection particuli\u00e8rement efficace contre les radiations, en particulier les protons solaires. \u00ab\u00a0<em>En r\u00e9organisant les masses et les \u00e9quipements mobiles \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de la capsule, et en cr\u00e9ant ainsi une zone plus dense autour d\u2019eux, les astronautes pourraient limiter au maximum l\u2019exposition aux radiations\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, indique Jean Blouvac. Il n\u2019agirait alors pas d\u2019\u00e9liminer tout risque, mais de maintenir les doses de rayonnements en dessous des seuils m\u00e9dicaux acceptables.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Avec les Accords Artemis, les Etats-Unis red\u00e9finissent les r\u00e8gles de l\u2019espace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Derri\u00e8re le retour \u00e0&nbsp;la Lune &#8211;&nbsp;annonc\u00e9 par la Nasa pour le 2 avril 2026 &#8211;&nbsp;se joue une bataille bien moins visible : celle du droit spatial. Avec les Accords Artemis, les \u00c9tats-Unis imposent leur vision de l\u2019exploitation des ressources spatiales. Entre zones de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et appropriation controvers\u00e9e, ces textes bousculent les r\u00e8gles \u00e9tablies depuis 1967. Ce soir, un autre \u00ab\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/xCrPD7tfcr0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wet dress rehearsal<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb doit avoir lieu, mais les probl\u00e8mes n&rsquo;\u00e9tant pas vraiment r\u00e9gl\u00e9s, on ne peut pas dire que la s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9 r\u00e8gne \u00e0 la Nasa&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;agence spatiale la plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre au monde a d&rsquo;ailleurs proc\u00e9d\u00e9, assez discr\u00e8tement, \u00e0 des tentatives d&rsquo;ajustement, il y a tout juste une semaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBlame Hydrogen\u201d, dit-on \u00e0 la Nasa, tellement cet atome si minuscule est compliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 confiner dans les r\u00e9servoirs, bien qu&rsquo;il permette d&rsquo;atteindre des vitesses consid\u00e9rables, notamment dans l&rsquo;espace. Mais les probl\u00e8mes viennent aussi de la fus\u00e9e elle-m\u00eame, et ici, pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, de la tour de lancement et de ses bras ombilicaux qui effectuent le remplissage : les fuites provenaient de l\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le souci est que ces fuites rendent potentiellement la fus\u00e9e dangereuse : l&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne gazeux est hautement inflammable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il a pourtant \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cid\u00e9, en plus du changement des joints, de tol\u00e9rer non plus 4 % de taux d&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne gazeux mais 16 %. Cette concentration, pourtant quatre fois sup\u00e9rieure au seuil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 habituel, serait, selon les tests, insuffisante pour conduire \u00e0 une inflammation.
