R\u00e9alis\u00e9e par la cam\u00e9ra HiRise de la sonde Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO), l&rsquo;image poss\u00e8de une r\u00e9solution de 30 cm par pixel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;image confirme que la tache noire de 15 x 40 m <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cieletespace.fr\/actualites\/schiaparelli-les-preuves-du-crash\">observ\u00e9e par MRO le 20 octobre 2016<\/a> est bien la trace de l&rsquo;impact de Schiaparelli. Celle-ci est compos\u00e9e d&rsquo;un crat\u00e8re de 2,4 m de diam\u00e8tre, et probablement 50 cm de profondeur, entour\u00e9 d&rsquo;une zone d&rsquo;\u00e9jectas asym\u00e9trique que les sp\u00e9cialistes de l&rsquo;ESA ont encore du mal \u00e0 interpr\u00e9ter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peut-\u00eatre les r\u00e9servoirs d&rsquo;hydrazine des propulseurs ont-ils explos\u00e9 dans une direction pr\u00e9f\u00e9rentielle&nbsp;? En tout cas, la chute de l&rsquo;engin, verticale apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9crochage de son parachute, ne semble pas pouvoir produire ce genre de trace. De m\u00eame, le sillon sombre \u00e0 droite du crat\u00e8re n&rsquo;a pas encore d&rsquo;explication.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cieletespace.fr\/media\/default\/0001\/13\/schiaparelli_27_10_16_small-5813.jpeg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:630px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>L\u2019impact du module europ\u00e9en Schiaparelli sur la plan\u00e8te Mars. \u00a9 ESA<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>La tache brillante 900 m au sud est en revanche bien identifi\u00e9e. Il s&rsquo;agit du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cieletespace.fr\/actualites\/tgo-en-orbite-schiaparelli-silencieux\">parachute de 12 m utilis\u00e9 par Schiaparelli pendant sa descente<\/a>, accompagn\u00e9 comme pr\u00e9vu du bouclier arri\u00e8re de l&rsquo;engin. Les deux se sont d\u00e9croch\u00e9s de l&rsquo;atterrisseur plus t\u00f4t que pr\u00e9vu, pour des raisons qu&rsquo;il reste \u00e0 comprendre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un autre artefact est visible au nord&nbsp;: le bouclier avant de Schiaparelli, qui l&rsquo;a prot\u00e9g\u00e9 pendant les quatre premi\u00e8res minutes de sa descente hypersonique dans l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re de Mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De nouvelles images, sous des angles de vue et des conditions d&rsquo;\u00e9clairage diff\u00e9rents, seront prises dans les prochaines semaines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Foss\u00e9, europ\u00e9enne) n&rsquo;a pas, \u00e0 ce jour, livr\u00e9 d&rsquo;explication officielle et d\u00e9finitive sur <a title=\"ExoMars : le crash de Schiaparelli ne remet pas en cause la mission de 2020\" href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/exomars-2016-exomars-crash-schiaparelli-ne-remet-pas-cause-mission-2020-64911\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">le fait que le module Schiaparelli<\/span><\/a> s\u2019est \u00e9cras\u00e9 \u00e0 son atterrissage sur le site pr\u00e9vu Meridiani Planum.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant une hypoth\u00e8se semble \u00e9merger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans un article publi\u00e9 par<em>&nbsp;<\/em><a title=\"Computing glitch may have doomed Mars lander\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/news\/computing-glitch-may-have-doomed-mars-lander-1.20861\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Nature<\/em><\/a>, Andrea Accomazzo, directeur de la division des missions solaires et plan\u00e9taires \u00e0 l&rsquo;ESA, fait part de son<em>&nbsp;\u00ab intuition&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon lui, un probl\u00e8me informatique (un <a href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/tech\/definitions\/informatique-bogue-521\/\">bug<\/a> du <a href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/tech\/definitions\/informatique-logiciel-561\/\">logiciel<\/a> de Schiaparelli) ou un probl\u00e8me dans l&rsquo;agr\u00e9gation des donn\u00e9es provenant des diff\u00e9rents <a href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/tech\/definitions\/technologie-senseur-8460\/\">capteurs<\/a> ont peut-\u00eatre fait croire \u00e0 l&rsquo;engin qu&rsquo;il se trouvait \u00e0 une altitude plus basse qu&rsquo;il ne l&rsquo;\u00e9tait en r\u00e9alit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jorge Vago, un responsable scientifique de la mission <a title=\"ExoMars 2016 : Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric B\u00e9ziat nous dit tout sur la descente de Schiaparelli\" href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/exomars-2016-exomars-2016-frederic-beziat-nous-dit-tout-descente-schiaparelli-64783\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ExoMars<\/a> \u00e9galement cit\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;article, indique que les donn\u00e9es issues de la phase d&rsquo;atterrissage montrent que le probl\u00e8me est survenu 4 minutes et 41 secondes apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de la descente dans l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re, qui a dur\u00e9 presque 6 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 cet instant, le bouclier thermique et le <a href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/tech\/definitions\/technologie-parachute-11136\/\">parachute<\/a> se sont \u00e9ject\u00e9s de fa\u00e7on pr\u00e9matur\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Les r\u00e9trofus\u00e9es cens\u00e9es fonctionner durant 30 secondes ne sont rest\u00e9es allum\u00e9es qu&rsquo;environ 3 secondes car l&rsquo;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/tech\/definitions\/informatique-ordinateur-586\/\">ordinateur<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> de Schiaparelli pensait que le d\u00e9monstrateur \u00e9tait pos\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les instruments de mesure ont m\u00eame \u00e9t\u00e9 activ\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schiaparelli \u00e9tait encore loin du sol et il aurait fait une chute libre de 2 \u00e0 4 kilom\u00e8tres pour finalement s&rsquo;\u00e9craser \u00e0 plus de 300 km\/h \u00e0 la surface de Mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;enqu\u00eate va se poursuivre en reproduisant des simulations d&rsquo;atterrissage afin d&rsquo;apporter les modifications n\u00e9cessaires dans la perspective de la mission <a title=\"Mauvaise nouvelle : ExoMars 2018 partira... en 2020\" href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/exomars-2018-mauvaise-nouvelle-exomars-2018-partira-2020-62648\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ExoMars 2020<\/a> qui, \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pendant la descente de Schiaparelli, l\u2019orbiteur TGO effectuait une d\u00e9licate man\u0153uvre d\u2019insertion en orbite martienne qui a pleinement r\u00e9ussi, raison pour laquelle les donn\u00e9es cruciales sur Schiaparelli n\u2019ont \u00e9t\u00e9 retransmises au sol que t\u00f4t ce matin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une analyse partielle des donn\u00e9es confirme que les \u00e9tapes d\u2019entr\u00e9e et de descente se sont pass\u00e9es comme pr\u00e9vu jusqu\u2019\u00e0 environ 1 km du sol martien, mais \u00e0 partir de l\u00e0 silence de Schiaparelli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schiaparelli <em>\u00ab&nbsp;s\u2019est forc\u00e9ment pos\u00e9 sur Mars mais on a perdu son signal&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric B\u00e9ziat, chef de <a title=\"Toute l\u2019actualit\u00e9 projet\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/projet\/\">projet<\/a> ExoMars chez Thales Alenia Space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab&nbsp;En ce qui concerne le module exp\u00e9rimental Schiaparelli, les donn\u00e9es que nous recevons nous permettent de comprendre parfaitement le d\u00e9roul\u00e9 des \u00e9v\u00e9nements et les raisons qui ont contrecarr\u00e9 l\u2019atterrissage en douceur \u00bb, explique David Parker, Directeur Vols habit\u00e9s et Exploration robotique \u00e0 l\u2019ESA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab&nbsp;Du point de vue technique&nbsp;\u00bb, ajoute-t-il, \u00ab&nbsp;nous avons obtenu exactement ce que nous attendions d\u2019un test, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire de pr\u00e9cieuses informations sur lesquelles travailler.&nbsp;\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A ce stade, il n\u2019est pas encore possible de tirer davantage de conclusions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une commission d\u2019enqu\u00eate va \u00eatre ouverte afin 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L\u2019Europe se pose sur Mars\u00a0! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ExoMars est un programme d\u2019exploration de Mars ayant \u00e0 la fois des objectifs technologiques et scientifiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est une coop\u00e9ration entre l\u2019Agence Spatiale Europ\u00e9enne (ESA) et l\u2019Agence Spatiale Russe Roscosmos&nbsp;qui comporte deux mission&nbsp;: ExoMars 2016 et ExoMars 2020. ExoMars 2016, a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e le 14 mars dernier et a parcouru les 500 millions de kilom\u00e8tres qui la s\u00e9parent de la plan\u00e8te rouge en 7 mois, ce qui est peu de temps \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle du syst\u00e8me solaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le but essentiel de la mission&nbsp;: trouver des indices de vie sur la plan\u00e8te Mars, la seule plan\u00e8te du syst\u00e8me solaire o\u00f9 c\u2019est possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019orbiteur TGO (Trace Gas Orbiter) s\u2019est s\u00e9par\u00e9 de son atterrisseur&nbsp; Schiaparelli le 16 octobre,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schiaparelli a pris la direction de Mars pour y atterrir, tandis que la sonde TGO doit se mettre en orbite autour de Mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le 19 octobre\u00a0 deux \u00e9v\u00e8nements ont eu lieu\u00a0:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">La mise en orbite du TGO<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elle a \u00e9\u00e9t confirm\u00e9e \u00e0 18h07 par les nombreux radio-t\u00e9lescopes en Inde puis Mars Express a pris le relai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 18h36 on re\u00e7oit le signal de TGO sur les antennes de Cerebos en Espagne&nbsp;: TGO qui est sorti de l\u2019ombre de la plan\u00e8te et est bien en orbite autour de la plan\u00e8te. Il est \u00e0 not\u00e9 que cette orbite est tr\u00e8s elliptique&nbsp;: environ 90.000kms \u00e0 l\u2019apog\u00e9e, 285kms au p\u00e9rig\u00e9e&nbsp;; il faut 4 jours pour parcourir l\u2019orbite. Reste \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer si la sonde est sur la bonne orbite. On attend l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation de la t\u00e9l\u00e9m\u00e9trie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Atterrissage de Schiaparelli<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a suivi la descente de l\u2019atterrisseur Schiaparelli vers&nbsp; la r\u00e9gion de M\u00e9ridiani Planum pr\u00e8s de l\u2019\u00e9quateur de Mars, dans l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord, sur une surface plane en altitude basse&nbsp;; pas loin d\u2019o\u00f9 se trouve le rover am\u00e9ricain Opportunity .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le parachute s\u2019est ouvert \u00e0 11.000 m\u00e8tres, les 9 r\u00e9trofus\u00e9es ont fonctionn\u00e9, tout a bien march\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 1 km du sol. A un moment le signal tr\u00e8s faible s\u2019est arr\u00eat\u00e9, on a attendu les donn\u00e9es transmises par Mars Express qui se sont aussi arr\u00eat\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a donc besoin d\u2019informations suppl\u00e9mentaires pour d\u00e9terminer comment l\u2019atterrissage s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9. Cette nuit les donn\u00e9es &nbsp;vont parvenir \u00e0 l\u2019ESOC (<em>European Space Operations Centre)<\/em> en provenance de deux sources, le TGO et un autre syst\u00e8me qui a enregistr\u00e9 la t\u00e9l\u00e9m\u00e9trie.
